Barbiturate Drug Tests

Barbiturates effect the central nervous system, mostly used for sedation and anesthesia. Medicinally these drugs are used to treat symptoms from insomnia, conculsions, and seizures.  

Commonly observed physical effects of barbiturates include severe drowsiness, slow heart beat, slurred speech, weakness, and staggering. 

Barbiturates can be detected in a person's system for 4-6 hours after taking them, and remain in your body for 4-10 days.
