Opiates (opi) are narcotics that contain opium, or opium derivatives.  Opiates are very addictive drugs, and are only available legally through prescription.  Opiates are commonly found in prescription pain killers including vicodin, loratab, morphine, and methadone.

Opiate drug test kits can detect opiate use in most people in about 1 hour after use, and normally remains in the body for 2 to 7 days.
